The new logo is composed of two parts:
- a logotype featuring the M of Mimelia DC, written in a serif font.
- it’s surrounded by a rhombus, a shape which brings dynamism because to stay standing, the rhombus has to spin on itself like a top.
- an ink stain which is a reminder not only of the writing process, but also of art in general, which is one of the blog’s subjects.
- a wordmark uses the name of the blog, written in a sans-serif font, that contrasts with the serif font of the logotype. The idea was to highlight the modernity of the medium used to talk about culture and arts.
